How to Play the Cello Like you Always Wanted...
Thanks for visiting the " Teaching " section of my site. If you're
interested in learning how to play the cello , becoming more comfortable at the cello , learning to play
music you love without difficulty, learning the art of practicing, and getting all this from a true
expert and professional who really gets it , EMAIL ME today to inquire about studio openings.
What makes me the expert on these things?
I have been playing and teaching cello in all kinds of settings for years, been taught by
incredible cellists, and jammed with legendary rock, folk, blues, and jazz artists around the country.
My name is on numerous studio recording projects and three pro albums to date. I've performed with
more than a dozen different chamber ensembles professionally and appeared as guest artist and soloist
with several different orchestras and combos throughout the US and abroad.
So why am I making time to share this experience with you? Because I
love it. I love making music, I love using the cello to do it, and I love sharing the process of musical and self discovery that goes along with learning the technique of cello playing. I'm always thrilled to have an
opportunity to share my passion and hard-earned expertise with others, young and old, beginner and
veteran. I'm a busy performer and business-owner, but I make time to teach and promote education.
It's about more than just cello lessons too. I'm intensely passionate
about chamber music. The string quartet repertoire particularly inspires me, and some of the greatest
artists of our time are known mainly for their work as the cellist of a really great string quartet!
That's why I encourage all of my students to work with other musicians to form groups and learn pieces together. There's an artistic and expressive power in creating collaborative art that you -
the cellist , the musician - cannot live without.
But there's more. I'll be bringing you together with my other
cello students as well. Compare notes, play together, play for eachother in a completely non-stressful
environment, and get everything you want out of your cello lessons and education.
